Shea Transforms Into 'mutant X' Lead For Tribune
John Shea has been cast as the lead character, Adam, in the new Tribune Entertainment Co.syndicated series "Mutant X."
Shea, who recently starred in the feature film "Bombshell," regularly appeared in the role of Lex Luthor in the ABC series "Lois & Clark: The New
Adventures of Superman."
The new weekly action series "Mutant X" is produced by Fireworks Entertainment in association with Marvel Studios and Tribune.
In announcing Shea's lead role in the series, Tribune Entertainment senior vp scripted programming Philip Segal said that Forbes March ("All My Children") and Victoria Pratt ("Cleopatra 2525") also have been cast in the series.
Other actors taking roles in "Mutant X" include Lauren Lee Smith ("Get Carter") and Victor Webster ("Days of Our Lives.")
The series is cleared in more than 93% of the country, including the Tribune Broadcasting stations, for a fall launch.
