Veteran television executive Wilton Haff has been promoted to senior vp business affairs at Warner Bros. Television.
Haff, 68, will continue to negotiate talent and overall deals and license agreements with the networks. He also oversees talent negotiations for the
Wolper Organization, Warner Bros.' production entity.
"Wilt's promotion is a direct reflection of his tremendous contributions to the company's success," Warner Bros. TV president Tony Jonas said. "Wilt is an expert negotiator that has always been a great resource to so many of us here at Warner Bros. for his breadth of knowledge and experience in the business aspects of the industry."
"Wilt has served as a mentor to many of the top business affairs executives in our industry and is widely respected and admired for his sound judgment and fairness," said Craig Hunegs, executive vp Warner Bros. TV.
Haff began his career in 1954 and has worked with scores of executives and producers who have defined the business, including David Wolper, David Gerber, Lee Rich, Chuck Fries and Sidney Sheldon.
After six years at Paramount Pictures, Haff began his career in business affairs, working his way up through the department at Columbia until he left for 20th Century Fox TV in 1977.
In 1980, he joined Lorimar Prods., which became Warner Bros. TV in 1991. He briefly left the studio in 1989 to run Steven Bochco's business affairs department before returning to Warner Bros. TV.
