Longtime Entercom hot AC WZPL/Indianapolis PD Scott Sands has been elevated to operations manager of the company's Indy cluster, including adult hits WNTR (the Track) and news/talk WXNT-AM. Sands will continue his day-to-day programming chores at `ZPL.

"Scott Sands

has evolved into one of the most talented and respected program directors not only within the Entercom family but also America," Entercom VP and general market manager Phil Hoover said in an internal e-mail obtained by R&R.

Hoover added, "Our program directors will still have the day-to-day responsibilities for their respective brands but will now have Scott's brilliant field of vision available to them. Without question this dynamic game changing appointment will allow for greater cross pollination of programming concepts, expertise and ideas that will maximize all of the resources for our brands."
