Fountain View names new CEO
Fountain View Inc., an operator of 49 long term care facilities in California and Texas, has appointed Boyd Hendrickson as CEO, effective April 1. Hendrickson succeeds Robert Snukal, who retired in January.
Hendrickson, whose career in the health care sector spans 31
years, most recently was CEO of Evergreen Healthcare, a Vancouver, Wash.-based long term care provider with operations in Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Montana, and Utah. Prior to that, Hendrickson spent 12 years with Beverly Enterprises, the last five as chief operating officer.
Fountain View, based in Los Angeles, filed for Chapter 11 protection last October, citing its inability to resolve a litigation that resulted in a lien being placed on its bank accounts. According to the company, which operates 43 skilled nursing and nine assisted living facilities, the Chapter 11 filing was necessary to ensure continuation of resident care.
