I figure a lot of working mothers don't have time to read a lot of magazines. But the May issue of Working Mother had a good (meaning informative, well-written, and, yes, short) column on giving effective performance reviews. The column covers preparing for the review, guiding your employee through the process, and the value of "mini reviews" given throughout the year.
