Dublin, Ireland-based Intuition, a provider of technology-enabled learning, has announced the deployment of what it calls "the world's first fully trackable mobile e-learning course" for PDAs such as BlackBerry. The course, which has been developed for financial services institutions, and enables users'

progress to be tracked and recorded automatically, is intended to make mandatory training easier to deploy, more convenient and fully auditable.

According to the company, Intuition's mobile learning technology was developed to meet the needs of the typical mobile user, who only uses his or her PDA for a short period of time, but may access it between 30 to 40 times during the day. The user typically also has a short attention span, so Intuition advises that content be targeted, specific, and punchy "in order to engage the user's interest." Targeted content includes information or specific courses on product spotlights or updates, regulatory requirements, organizational procedures and policies, or case studies.
