New Director, a Former Cingular Exec, Brings Expertise in Global Wireless Services to Vringo's Video Ringtone-Sharing Concept

JERUSALEM & NEW YORK -- Vringo, the pioneer in video ringtone sharing, announced today that it has added Jim Ryan to its board of directors.

Ryan,

who has senior management experience in value-added wireless services across the United States, Europe and Asia, recently assumed the role of CEO at Campus Mobile. Campus Mobile connects university students on a real-time, interactive basis to the people, information, content and offers that matter most to them in their university life.

Previously, he was vice president of consumer data services for Cingular Wireless/AT&T, the largest wireless carrier in the United States. He had responsibility for all Cingular wireless data products for the consumer market.

Prior to his position at Cingular, Ryan held executive positions with BT subsidiary O2, Sprint PCS, and Motorola subsidiary Ardis. He holds a master's degree in business administration from Indiana University.

"Vringo is excited to have this wireless-industry visionary join our board," said Jon Medved, co-founder and CEO of Vringo. "Jim has been on the cutting edge of mobile solutions throughout his career. His counsel, insight and support as a board member will be instrumental in shaping Vringo's growth in the wireless marketplace."

"Jim Ryan's global reputation will be an asset for Vringo," said Dan Ciporin, chairman of Vringo's board of directors. "I know I share the entire board's enthusiasm as we extend a hearty welcome to him."

"I've been excited about Vringo since I first learned of the company," said Ryan. "It's an honor to be invited to join the board, and I look forward to working with the entire team of directors to help guide Vringo's future."

In addition to Ryan, Ciporin and Medved, other current board members include Vringo co-founder and Chief Technology Officer David Goldfarb; licensing expert Seth M. Siegel, a co-founder and former chairman of The Beanstalk Group; and Bryan Rutberg, chairman and chief executive officer of Rutberg & Company, LLC.

Vringo is building a new community for mobile personalization, starting with the delivery and sharing of video of ringtone content. The Vringo application, now in private beta and soon to be marketed to carriers as a managed service, received glowing praise and reviews during demonstrations at DEMO, the 3GSM World Congress and the recent JavaOne conference.

Soon to be available on Symbian J2ME (Java Micro Edition) and Windows Mobile platforms, Vringo releases for additional Nokia, Motorola, SonyEricsson, Samsung and LG phones are due soon. The company continues to work on expanding the Vringo feature set to enable more and more users to "Vringo" to the limit of every handset's capability.
