WASHINGTON -- The 2007 Monte Carlo Night, which was held on Saturday, March 3rd at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Washington, DC, raised $391,100 to benefit Children's National Medical Center. Over 600 guests attended the first-year, sold out event, which was organized by Washington Property Company,

The JBG Companies, and Bernstein Management Corporation.

"The response from the business community was amazing, especially when you consider this was our first year for the event. Not only did it sell out, but we exceeded our fundraising goal by more than $140,000. We're looking forward to making this an annual event," said Charles K. Nulsen III, president of Washington Property Company.

The event mission was to raise awareness within the commercial real estate community and to provide financial support for Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. The event will support the capital improvement program to modernize the aging facilities at Children's Hospital and to further their mission of delivering world class care to sick children in this area regardless of their ability to pay for it. 100% of sponsorships go to Children's Hospital - Washington, D.C.

J.C. Hayward, the Emmy Award-winning news anchor at the local CBS affiliate, WUSA - Channel 9, served as Master of Ceremonies and welcomed supporters, who were entertained by the popular band Little Feat. Rhett Butler, a world ranked poker player, was also on hand to welcome guests, who enjoyed dancing, a live auction and playing casino style games for fun.
