Local gets a 'Free Ride' from Pepsi
SALT LAKE CITY -- They say there's no such thing as a free ride in life, but Pepsi and Maverik beg to differ. And for one lucky Pepsi drinker from the Salt Lake City area, that dream came true. For four weeks in April, customers from over 150 participating Maverik Stores across four states had the opportunity to enter for a chance to win a brand new Subaru along with $10,000 for customization. At the end of the promotion the winner was chosen from among all eligible entries. That lucky winner happened to be local resident, Dallas Curtiss.
"Maverik is honored to partner with Pepsi to bring this exciting promotion to our area. For Dallas Curtiss, 'Adventures First Stop' now has even more meaning!" exclaims Tim Taylor, Executive Director of Merchandising for Maverik. "All of us at Maverik hope to see Dallas a lot this summer with one hand firmly on the wheel of his brand new Subaru and with the other hand wrapped around an ice-cold Pepsi."
On June 28, at 3:30 p.m., Curtiss will officially be awarded his Subaru at a Salt Lake City Maverik Store, located at 1680 South Redwood Road. Area residents are invited to come out, listen to music, and try new Pepsi products.
Maverik is the largest independent convenience store chain in the intermountain west with over 182 stores currently in operation. Admiral Beverage Corporation is one of the largest independent bottlers of Pepsi-Cola beverages in the United States.
