Higher Education Institutions Choose WebDrive to Help Students and Faculty Easily Share and Access Files

ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- South River Technologies, Inc., an innovator in secure file transfer and collaboration software, today announced its WebDrive software has been purchased by Case Western Reserve University, Missouri State University, North Carolina State University, Valley City State University and Vassar College to simplify network file access and document sharing.

Hundreds of colleges/universities in North America today are using WebDrive to access, store and collaborate on files through the familiar interface of a drive letter. WebDrive has built-in support for secure socket layer and is often times used instead of a virtual private network.

"Higher education is a growing industry for South River Technologies and we are thrilled that more and more colleges and universities are entering into enterprise licensing agreements for our software," said Michael Ryan, CEO and co-founder of South River Technologies. "Enabling access to files--whether on or off of the campus network--and doing so in a way that reduces IT training and support is one of the key issues that Universities are solving with our technology."

Recent customer wins include:

* Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio--Consistently ranked among the top 40 private universities in the United States that offers undergraduate, graduate and professional programs in a variety of subjects.

* Missouri State University, Springfield, Missouri--Missouri's second largest university that supports over 19,000 undergraduate and graduate students and more than 2,000 faculty and staff.

* North Carolina State University, Raleigh, North Carolina--A nationally recognized leader in science and technology with historic strengths in agriculture and engineering.

* Valley City State University, Valley City, North Dakota--One of eleven campuses which together comprise the North Dakota University System.

* Vassar College, Hudson Valley, New York--Consistently ranked among the top liberal arts colleges in the country renowned for pioneering achievements in education.
