Wipro Among Top in Global Outsourcing 100 Ranking.

Ranked Top Indian Outsourcer by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals

BANGALORE, India -- Wipro Technologies, the global IT services business of Wipro Limited (NYSE:WIT), today announced that it had been rated as the top Indian outsourcing firm in the Global Outsourcing

100 rankings conducted by The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP). This is an independent global survey, the results of which were published recently in the special advertising feature in Fortune magazine. Wipro Technologies was ranked sixth globally and is ahead of all other Indian outsourcing providers.

The list includes companies from around the world providing the full spectrum of outsourcing services - not just information technology and business process outsourcing, but areas such as facility services, real estate and capital asset management, manufacturing, and logistics.

The evaluation team, comprising of IAOP member professionals, was led by Certified Outsourcing Professional (COP) Jagdish Dalal, Principal, JDalal Associates LLC. The Panel of judges included, David Barrett, Partner, Simmons & Simmons, Chris Campbell, Principal, Booz Allen Hamilton, E. Marie Shantz Professor of Strategy & Organizational Behavior, Mukesh Mehta, SVP Wachovia, Clifford D. Moore III, Chairman & Co-Founder, COPC Inc. and Lisa Ross, CEO and Founder of FAO Research, Inc.

Companies were evaluated on eighteen criteria that included revenue, growth, number of employees, skills and training of their workforce, certifications held, track record of the management team, and the quality of customer service.
