OMAHA, Neb. -- Electronic commerce and payments leader First Data Corp. (NYSE:FDC) has announced that Jerry Bartlett has joined the company as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Development for First Data Resources (FDR).

Bartlett was most recently with TD AMERITRADE (member of NASD/SIPC) where he oversaw all information technology (IT) initiatives, including business technology planning, application development, information and physical security, and IT infrastructure and architecture. After directing the application integration in a key merger at TD AMERITRADE, he was recognized as one of ComputerWorld's 2005 Premier 100 IT Leaders based on his leadership in managing risk and execution during the merger.

Before working at TD AMERITRADE, Bartlett led large applications development and database organizations in the St. Paul Company and also led several initiatives as a manager of systems development for the American Red Cross.

Bartlett is on the Board of the Wall Street Technology Association and holds a B.S. in Technology and Management from the University of Maryland.
