PLEASANTON, Calif. -- Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX) today announced a significant enhancement of its award-winning Xerox DocuMate([R]) 152 duplex scanner with the incorporation of Visioneer OneTouch([R]) with Kofax([R]) VRS[TM] technology that automatically improves the image quality of faded or degraded original documents at the press of a single button. This technology combines the ease of Visioneer OneTouch scanning, with the superior image enhancement of Kofax Virtual ReScan([R]) (VRS) software. The DocuMate 152 is the only duplex scanner under $500 to include Kofax VRS, which is directly integrated into the OneTouch scanner driver rather than bundled as a separate utility. The Visioneer OneTouch driver also has the ability to automatically drop scanned images into Microsoft SharePoint([R]), Kofax Ascent([R]) Capture, Hyland OnBase([R]) and Datacap Taskmaster([R]). Only Xerox DocuMate scanners offer these links across its entire product line from sub-$500 desktop scanners all the way up to its $5,000 production scanners.

The Xerox DocuMate 152 is a small, easy-to-use, color sheetfed scanner designed for desktop use and allows users to scan double-sided documents at speeds up to 30 images per minute. The scanner includes over $600 in bundled software, such as ScanSoft PaperPort, OmniPage Pro OCR, X1 Desktop Search, NewSoft Presto! BizCard, Visioneer OneTouch with Kofax VRS technology and an advanced TWAIN driver.
