Join 1,600 of the region's "movers and shakers" to "Rock the Arts." The groovin' noontime jam from the Arts & Business Council, a Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce affiliate, puts the spotlight on business and arts leaders rocking the arts with their dedication, leadership and creativity.
Electrifying performances will start the show - as CJ Tywoniak, an up-and-coming rock sensation from the Paul Green School of Rock, brings down the house and Myra Bazell and ensemble push the limits of physical movement through edgy, postmodern dance. Topping off the show, the legendary Blue Notes take center stage in a tribute to Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff. The Philadelphia music icons are being recognized with the Avatar Award as the architects of "The Sound of Philadelphia."
