OEM Agreement Extends Reconnex Solution to Protect Data in Use Through Integration of Provilla's LeakProof Endpoint-Based DLP Technology

it has entered into an OEM agreement with Reconnex, the leader in network-based information monitoring and protection solutions, to provide its flagship LeakProof[TM] intelligent endpoint solution to Reconnex customers. As part of the agreement, Provilla LeakProof will be integrated with the Reconnex Information Protection System to create the most comprehensive, best-of-breed enterprise network and endpoint-based intelligent DLP solution available, offering complete protection for data in motion, data at rest, and data in use.

The agreement enables Reconnex to provide an enterprise-class solution for the protection of sensitive information through which policies can be defined, enforced, and monitored at the edge of the network, as well as at each endpoint, in a consistent and unified manner. Provilla will augment the Reconnex Information Protection System with Provilla LeakProof, the industry's most complete endpoint leak prevention solution. LeakProof will enable Reconnex to safeguard data in use by corporate desktops, branch offices and mobile workers, online or offline, by effectively blocking all exits regardless of attached device, communications channel or network protocol.

Under the terms of the agreement, Reconnex will sell and support Provilla LeakProof to its global customers through its direct sales force and channel partners. Through integration with Reconnex, endpoint policies can be easily set through the Reconnex console and propagated seamlessly to the Provilla agent endpoints. Security violations for data in use at the endpoints can be monitored and reported along with data-in-motion violations in the network through the Reconnex console. Provilla intelligent endpoint agents also enhance the data-at-rest capabilities of the Reconnex solution by enabling all endpoints to be scanned for sensitive data.

Today's announcement follows an agreement announced earlier this month by Provilla to license the patented DataDNA[TM] technology and LeakProof agent to BigFix, Inc. LeakProof quickly and unobtrusively prevents data leaks without compromising legitimate communications through superior, content-aware endpoint enforcement of granular security policies. Comprehensive forensics and on-demand scanning of all confidential data throughout the organization provide powerful tools for addressing compliance regulations such as PCI, CA SB-1386, GLBA and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), enabling enterprises to determine if confidential, unencrypted data exists on laptops and desktops.
