Fox-Walden Announces Key Executive Appointments.

Eric Alan appointed Senior Vice President, Creative Advertising

Heather Johnson Phillips named Senior Vice President, Publicity

LOS ANGELES -- The

key executive appointments that will make up the core of the Fox-Walden marketing team for the new joint venture between Walden Media and Twentieth Century Fox have been announced by Jeffrey Godsick, President of Marketing for Fox-Walden.

Godsick commented, "I could not be more excited to launch Fox-Walden with executives of this caliber. They each bring their unique expertise, experience, and passion, but more importantly they are highly creative and driven by the desire to break the mold of traditional movie marketing. In the coming months, we'll continue to build our staff and grow as a company."

Fox-Walden will bring movie audiences everywhere quality family-friendly pictures at a variety of budget levels. Movies released under the new company will encompass all genres and will generally be MPAA-rated PG. Films rated PG make up ten percent of films released, but they account for nearly 30 percent of the box-office.

Eric Alan has been named Senior Vice President, Creative Advertising. Alan previously served as Creative Director at Trailer Park where he implemented theatrical and television campaigns for Pixar, Walt Disney Pictures, Paramount Pictures, 20th Century Fox, and Sony. He also served as Creative Director and Executive Producer at Nickelodeon Movies, where he worked on integrated campaigns for the films: Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, Jimmy Neutron, and Rugrats In Paris. Prior to his work at Nickelodeon, Alan was Executive Director of Branding at ABC Network and a Senior Producer at FX Cable Network. He began his career as a sitcom writer.

Heather Johnson Phillips is joining Fox-Walden as Senior Vice President, Publicity. Phillips previously served as Vice President, Publicity for 20th Century Fox, overseeing the campaigns for an array of films including The Family Stone, Eragon, and the upcoming releases Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer, and Live Free Or Die Hard. Phillips began her career in the NY offices of Miramax Films and soon was promoted to Vice President overseeing the campaigns for Chicago and Frida, later relocating to Los Angeles where she oversaw publicity on Cold Mountain and Aviator.

Lisa Bay Adams has been appointed Vice President, Marketing and Promotions. Adams previously was Director of Marketing and Promotions at Anschutz Film Group, based in Los Angeles. Her responsibilities at Anschutz included the development of promotional campaigns with the distributors of AFG projects including The Chronicles of Narnia, Charlotte's Web and Bridge to Terabithia, as well as creating strategic partnerships with organizations involved in education and youth development. Prior to her position at AFG, she was Marketing Manager of National Promotions at The Walt Disney Studios where she worked on campaigns such as Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, Remember the Titans, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Jason Rein has been named Director of Creative Content reporting to Eric Alan. Rein started his film career at 20th Century Fox as a post-production coordinator working for the President of the Feature Post Production. Rein then had a stint as the assistant to Scott Rudin, where he worked on the films Orange County, Zoolander, and The Hours. Soon Rein was then hired by Baz Luhrmann, as his assistant working as his in-house content producer. Projects included: Baz Luhrmann's Puccini's La Boheme on Broadway and the Chanel. No. 5 ad campaign. Prior to joining Fox-Walden, Rein was the Digital Content Producer at Fox Atomic where he produced digital shorts for the Theatrical Marketing department.

Fox-Walden's first releases will be The Dark is Rising, the first film adaptation of Susan Cooper's acclaimed The Dark Is Rising Sequence, directed by David Cunningham, produced by Marc Platt, written by John Hodge, and which begins production in Romania later this month and will be released on September 28, 2007. Slated for release on November 16, 2007, Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium, is a Mandate Pictures co-production written and directed by Zach Helm, starring Dustin Hoffman, Natalie Portman and Jason Bateman, produced by Richard Gladstein and Jim Garavente. Twentieth Century Fox will distribute all titles the new company markets.
