EqualLogic Midrange Storage Arrays Take Top Honors in Quality Award from Storage Magazine and Diogenes Labs.
Customers Rank EqualLogic Number One for Features, Reliability, Initial Quality and Support
NASHUA, N.H. -- EqualLogic[R], the leading provider of enterprise-class iSCSI storage area network (SAN) solutions, today announced that its PS Series storage arrays ranked number one overall in the Diogenes Labs-Storage magazine Quality Awards for Midrange Storage Arrays. EqualLogic placed first in the four categories of product features, initial product quality, product reliability and technical support.
Presented last week at the Storage Decisions Conference, the study behind the award aggregated more than 470 customer evaluations of 15 different midrange SAN products. The survey was conducted by analyst firm Diogenes Analytical Laboratories and asked customers to rate the quality of various product offerings and their support on a scale of 1.0 to 8.0. Also, 93 percent of EqualLogic customers surveyed for the award said that they would buy the EqualLogic product again. The survey ranked midrange solutions from EMC, Network Appliance Inc., Sun Microsystems Inc. (FlexLine and StorEdge), Hewlett-Packard Co., Hitachi Data Systems Corp., IBM Corp., and Dell Inc.
The Quality Award survey revealed that customers appreciate the software features EqualLogic includes in its product at no extra cost, particularly its capabilities for data protection. Customers also rated EqualLogic's sales team highly, especially for keeping the customers' interests foremost. EqualLogic's channel partners were also given kudos for being knowledgeable and capable of resolving most problems without escalation.
