The prestigious nods come on the heels of the hip-hop star snagging two trophies at the First Annual BET Hip-Hop Awards, in mid-November. Chamillionaire went home with dual awards that evening for Rookie Of The Year Award and the prestigious Alltell Wireless PeopleeIUs Champ Award.
In keeping with the outpouring of recognition heeIUs received this year, Chamillionaire has also been nominated for Best Hip-Hop Song for his smash rap anthem "RidineIU," at the upcoming 33rd Annual PeopleeIUs Choice Awards. These honors come only months after the charismatic performer beat out proven superstars 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes and others for Best Rap Video of the year honors for the groundbreaking "RidineIU" video, featuring Krayzie Bone, at this yeareIUs 2006 MTV Video Music Awards.
Hailed around the world for his major label platinum-plus debut smash album, The Sound Of Revenge, the disc has become one of the seminal hip-hop records of the year, with the versatile Chamillionaire emerging as a mainstream multi-platform entrepreneur.
