MIDLAND, Texas -- Southeastern Career Institute - Midland will host a graduation ceremony Friday, Nov. 17thfor 142 students. The ceremony will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the Clarion Inn Convention Center at 4300 West Wall Street, Midland, Texas. Jay Hendricks, News Reporter for KOSA Channel 7 News, will keynote the ceremony.
Students will be recognized for earning diplomas in three programs including medical assistant, dental assistant and computer business systems. Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study, many of which are in high demand throughout the state. According to the Texas Workforce Commission, Labor Market Information, Texas Long-Term Occupational Projections, 2004, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 62.3 percent and dental assistant by 42 percent from 2002 to 2012.
Southeastern Career Institute - Midland is accredited by the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education. The campus currently offers three diploma programs in the allied health and technology fields.
