Miller currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI) representing X12, which focuses on improving the quality of healthcare through effective and efficient information exchange and management. She also is a member of the Healthcare Information Technology Standards Panel (HITSP) Work Groups, where she participates in emerging national healthcare initiatives.
She is the Chair of the WEDI ROI task group and the co-chair of the WEDI acknowledgements task group. Miller has also works closely with X12, which develops uniform standards for inter-industry electronic exchange of business transactions-electronic data interchange (EDI). She serves as the chair of the X12-C Communications and Controls Committee Task Group 4, Control Transactions. She also served as Chair of the Convergence and Outreach Task Group for X12, while serving on the X12 Steering committee.
Miller also co-authored HIPAA Compliance Solutions - Comprehensive Strategies from Microsoft and the Washington Publishing Company, which helps implement a BizTalk Server infrastructure customized to support the requirements of HIPAA. Miller was an instrumental member of the Microsoft BizTalk Accelerator for HIPAA development team.
