Mike Lafavore Joins Meredith

Mike Lafavore has been named editorial director for Meredith Magazines, a new position. Lafavore will join Meredith the first week of November.
Lafavore will oversee new product development and newsstand strategy for Meredith Corp.'s titles, and oversee resources of Meredith's digital library.
He will also manage the editorial strategy and development for Fitness. Emily Listfield, editor in chief of Fitness, will report to Lafavore.
Lafavore was the founding editor in chief of Rodale's Men's Health and editor in chief of Gemstar's TV Guide. Prior to his hire at Meredith, Lafavore owned a consulting practice and most recently worked with The National Geographic Publishing Group.
