Universal Press Syndicate has introduced a panel-shaped daily food column for print and online clients.
"Express Lane Cooking" is by Bonnie Tandy Leblang, a registered dietitian who also co-writes, with Carolyn Wyman, the "Supermarket Sampler" column for Universal. Leblang has also co-authored

several books and contributed to many publications, including Parade magazine.
"Express" clients include The Dallas Morning News; The Denver Post; The Detroit News; The Patriot-News in Harrisburg, Pa.; Minneapolis Star Tribune; The Ottawa Sun; The Oregonian in Portland; San Antonio Express-News; and Seattle Post-Intelligencer, among others.
Leblang's new panel is the latest in a boomlet of quick-meal features. One is "Desperation Dinners" by Beverly Mills and Alicia Ross, whose weekly column appears in 200 papers after 23 months with United Media.
