Adweek Magazines has named Dennis O'Neill vice president, publisher of the Editor & Publisher Co. A four-year veteran of E&P, O'Neill was formerly vice president sales/advertising.
The announcement was made by Adweek Magazines President Mark A. Dacey. O'Neill
reports to Michael E. Parker, group publisher, on all sales-related matters.
O'Neill's appointment follows the sale of E&P to BPI Communications Inc. on Sept. 9. New York-based BPI is the parent of Adweek Magazines.
O'Neill has been responsible for all print and electronic advertising for E&P products, plus the sale of CD-ROMs and conference booths and sponsorships. From 1995 to 1997, he was vice president/new media, spearheading the launch of E&P's new media division.
From 1990 to 1994, O'Neill was president and CEO of TV Update Inc., a publisher of TV book supplements to over 100 daily newspapers.
