"Over the Hedge," a humor comic that rarely references breaking news, is now discussing Cindy Sheehan.

In today's strip, Verne the turtle says: "How do we know this mom who camped out at George's ranch isn't just a grandstander?" RJ the raccoon replies: "She lost a

son." Verne: "Some anti-war types could be using her by exploiting her son's death." RJ: "She lost a son." Verne: "Actually, some say the worst thing that could happen would be the president meeting with her because of her vigil...though not quite as worse as the fact that..." RJ: "She lost a son."

Michael Fry and T Lewis do "Over the Hedge" for United Feature Syndicate.
