'South Florida Sun-Sentinel' Names New Sports Editor

Brian White has been named sports editor of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. White has been an assistant sports editor and deputy sports editor at the Sun-Sentinel.

Before that, White worked as a sports editor and columnist at The News-Journal in Wilmington, Del., and as a reporter and columnist at The News-Press in Fort Myers, Fla., and the Green Bay (Wisc.) Press-Gazette.

He replaces Fred Turner, who has been the Sun-Sentinel's sports editor since 1980. Turner is out on medical leave.
