British Magazine Publisher Goes Online With ContentWare

U.K. publisher Emap PLC announced this week that it will use
Openpages' ContentWare to manage content for both print

publications and Web sites.

Emap will use ContentWare to manage hardcopy content and to build
a Web presence for several of its publications. Emap is currently
installing ContentWare to manage content for the Middle
Eastern Economic Digest (MEED) and several Web sites,
including MEED.com, MCN.com, FHM.com, and Slam.com.

Openpages Inc., the Westford, Mass.-based software provider,
already manages content for KnightRidder.com's Real Cities,
Infinet, and townonline.com. OpenPages' ContentWare integrates
with Microsoft Word, Adobe Illustrator, and Quark; allowing
content producers to manage content from creation through
approval, design, editing, deployment, syndication, and
archiving.

Emap publishes more than 600 magazines and has more than 6,000
employees in the United Kingdom, France, United States, and
Australia.
