Rob Langford has been appointed director of operations at VisionLand theme park in Birmingham, Ala. He was formerly with the Birmingham FBI field office.
Carolyn Boos has been appointed director of marketing at the park. She was formerly with Public ImPRessions
Kalyn Chapman-Roller has been named public relations manager for the theme park. She was formerly with Jackie O'Neal School of Dance
Bart Kinzel has been promoted to general manager of Cedar Point amusement park/resort's T.G.I. Friday's. He is a 15-year veteran of the Sandusky, Ohio, park
David Bode has been named vice president of human resources and Cheryl Force has been promoted to vice president of merchandise for Sea World of Texas in San Antonio. Bode was formerly with Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Va. Force has been with Sea World since 1991
Michelle Sykes has been named director of marketing for Kellogg's Cereal City USA in Battle Creek, Mich. She will plan the marketing and advertising campaign for the park, scheduled to open in the summer of 1998
Jason Harris has been appointed to the newly created position of associate counsel for Fine Host Corp. of Greenwich, Conn. He has worked with the corporate departments of Riker, Danzig, Scherer, Hyland and Perretti and Schatz, Schatz, Ribicoff and Kotkin over the past seven years.
Craig Balestras has been promoted to vice president of the newly formed New York region of Fine Host's School Nutrition Services Group. He was formerly with Ideal Management. Michael J. Chiong has been named manager of financial systems at the company. He was formerly with Thomson Newspapers
Chana Mannen has been named deputy general manager at Del Mar (Calif.) Fairgrounds. She has been with the fairgrounds for more than 20 years
Denice Mitrousis has been named vice president of sales and marketing for Aramark's School Support Services division. She was formerly with Lexis-Nexis electronic information services company.
Jack Donovan has been named president of the managed services firm's Correctional Services division. He was formerly vice president in Aramark's business services division
Jen Simon has been named tour coordinator for Roadrunner Records in New York City. She interned with the label while completing her degree at Sarah Lawrence College.
Jamie Roberts has been named director of publicity at the label. She was formerly with The Enclave. Sean McGoldrick has been promoted to controller at Roadrunner. She has been with the label since 1990
Susan Riley has been named corporate communications coordinator for Provident Music Group in Brentwood, Tenn. Joe Brazil has been named vice president of business affairs at the Christian music label. Eric Nordhoff has been promoted to director of international sales and Lee Porter is director of gift sales
Neil Lasher has been named vice president promotion at EMI Music Publishing. He was formerly senior director of promotion at the publishing company
Mary Conroy has been promoted to vice president of Adult Contemporary promotion for Atlantic Records, based in New York City. She joined the company in 1980
Donna Torrence has been named associate director, publicity, for Arista Records in New York City. She was most recently with Torrence & Associates public relations and media consulting firm
Curt Eddy has been named senior vice president, field marketing, for PolyGram Group Distribution in New York City. He has been with the label since 1978 Van Fletcher has assumed duties as senior vice president, sales and branch distribution. He has been with the company since 1991.
John Esposito has been named senior vice president, PolyMedia. He has been with PolyGram Catalog Development Group since January of this year
Nancy Berry has been named vice chairwoman of Virgin Records America and Virgin Music Group Worldwide. She was most recently executive vice president of Virgin's worldwide operations.
Ashley Newton and Ray Cooper were appointed co-presidents of the Virgin U.S. division. Both Newton and Cooper come to their new assignments from London, where they were joint deputy managing director of Virgin U.K.
Danny Goldberg has been promoted to the newly created position of chairman of Mercury Group. He will continue as president and chief executive officer of Mercury Records, as well as oversee the management of Motown and PolyGram Classics and Jazz in the U.S. He has been with Mercury since 1995
