Nickelodeon Productions has reportedly just created a new fellowship program, aimed at attracting culturally and ethnically diverse writers. Five one-year fellowships will be offered in Los Angeles and New York, in both the Nickelodeon
and Nick Jr. live-action, animated TV, and feature film divisions.
Fellows will receive a salary, stipend to cover medical expenses, and one month's accommodations, if the fellow does not already live in L.A. or NYC, Variety reported. Nickelodeon did not respond before press time, but according to the fellowship department answering machine message, the program is set to begin in June, application requests must be received before Sept. 30, and submissions should be mailed between Oct. 1 and Oct. 31. To request an application, write to: Fellowship Program Manager, Nickelodeon Prods. 1515 Broadway, NYC, 10036. Or leave a message at (212) 258-7532.
