Tom Montchai, AIA, has announced the formation of Montchai Design in Cincinnati. He was formerly vice president of design for International Theme Park Services.

Jerry Danielson has been appointed vice president, sales, for Sico North America Inc., based in Minneapolis.

He joined the company in 1993.

Glenn West has been promoted to general manager of NASCAR SpeedPark in Myrtle Beach, S.C. He was formerly with the Myrtle Beach Pavilion Amusement Park.

Nina Hansdotter has been appointed vice president, marketing, for MCA, at Universal Music International in London. She has been with the label since 1993. Valerie Lewis has been named director of publicity for MCA Records, based in New York City. She was formerly associate director of publicity.

Lisa Newman has been named OEM sales representative for Waterloo Tent & Tarp Co. of Waterloo, Iowa. She was promoted from sales support coordinator.

Margarida Anderson has been named public relations manager for CUH2A Entertainment in Princeton, N.J. She has 15 years experience in public relations. Scott Mallwitz has been named vice president of entertainment for CUH2A. He will be based in Chicago. Robert C. Dean has been named director of development for the multi-disciplinary professional firm which provides architecture, engineering and planning expertise for a broad range of markets.

Kathy McAdams, associate vice president for the Los Angeles Convention & Visitors Bureau, has been promoted to head the Washington, D.C., office. She has been with the bureau since 1994.

Susan Greenfield has been named vice president — legal, for Palace Sports and Entertainment Inc. of Auburn Hills, Mich. She has been with the facility since 1993.

Cini-Little International and Goal Group Consulting, LLC, have formed a partnership to provide an array of business consulting and design services for sports, entertainment and other public assembly facilities. The Goal Group is headquartered in Chicago and Cini-Little is headquartered in Rockville, Md.

Toby Cannon has been named director, training and development, general licensing, at BMI. She will be based in Nashville, and was formerly with GerAssist Inc.

Adam Sandler has been named to the newly created post of vice president of communications and director of special projects/office of the president for the Recording Academy in Santa Monica, Calif. He was formerly with Daily Variety and Variety.

Charlotte Allen has been named marketing manager for the City of Dallas Convention and Event Services. She has been with City of Dallas for 16 years.

Dan Sarna has been named executive vice president of finance and chief financial officer for Exhibitgroup/Giltspur of Roselle, Ill. He was formerly with Waste Management Inc.

GES Exposition Services of Las Vegas has joined with Production Resource Group to launch a new service, GES Lighting. The new service was established to provide customers with a complete turnkey operation for tradeshows.

James J "J.J." Buettgen has been named senior vice president of marketing for Disneyland Resort, based in Anaheim, Calif. He was formerly with Hollywood Entertainment Inc.

Jim Kemp has been promoted to vice president of creative services at Mercury Nashville. He has been with the label since 1994. Danny Bess has been named senior director of finance, Shared Services Nashville. Formerly with Mercury Records, Bess will now be responsible for budgeting, planning and financial reporting for Mercury Nashville and MCA Nashville.

Elisa J. Mailman has been named vice president of investor relations at Launch Media Inc. in Santa Monica, Calif. Prior to joining the the company she was a senior investor relations executive at The Financial Relations Board/BSMG Worldwide (FRB). Launch is a digital media company focused on creating the premier Internet destination for discovering new music.

Gina Weeks has been named promotions coordinator for Mercury Nashville. She was formerly promotion assistant. Karen Naff has been named creative services coordinator, promoted from creative services assistant. Julie Johnson has been named marketing coordinator from her former post as marketing assistant. Jill Boles has been hired as staff receptionist at the label. She was formerly with Reunion Records. Kevin Lane has been promoted to senior director of media relations at Mercury, where he was formerly director of media relations. Damon Moberly has been named director of Northeast regional promotions, where he was most recently manager of that region's promotions.

Claus Gydesen has been appointed managing director for Germany, Austria and Switzerland for the Walt Disney Co. He will continue to be based in Munich, Germany. Philippe Laco has been appointed managing director for France and Benelux, and will be based in Paris. Umberto Virri will be managing director for Italy and Greece, based in Milan. Laszlo Hubay Cebrian has been appointed managing director for Spain and Portugal, based in Portugal. Stuart Warrener has been named managing director for Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He will be based in London. Mats Caneman has been appointed managing director for the Nordic Region and will be based in Stockholm. In a related move, Gilles Pelisson, chairman and chief operating officer of Euro Disney, will report jointly to Etienne de Villiers, president and managing director of Walt Disney International — Europe, Middle East and Africa, who will also act as county manager for the UK, and Paul Pressler, president, Walt Disney Attractions.

John Turturro has been named director, national pharmaceutical market, for PGI, the event and communications agency based in Arlington, Va. He was formerly with Knoll Pharmaceutical Co.

Chad Chappell has been named director of national accounts for the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau. He joined the Dallas CVB in 1996 in its Washington, D.C., office, and is rejoining the office after a brief absence.

Robert Z. Shapiro has been named to the newly created position of chief operating officer of Solutions Media Inc. and its wholly owned subsidiary, SpinRecords.com. A part of the company since it began, he will be based in San Diego.

Darren Wolf has been named vice president of artist development for MCA Records, based at the label's Universal City, Calif. headquarters. He has been with MCA since 1995.

Michael Weiss has been named senior vice president of strategic development for TuneTo.com, a new Internet music radio network. He was formerly with WebRadio.com, Inc.

Cliff Lovette and Marshal Hodge have opened The Lovette Group in Atlanta to provide out-sourced business and legal affairs services to record labels and music publishers. Lovette was formerly with LaFace Records and Hodge was with Untertainment/Undeas Records.

Yetu Riley has been named food and beverages manager for the Greenville (S.C.) Braves 2000 season. Hollye Edwards was named ticket manager and Jed Anthony has been named promotions director.

Jodi Roberdes has been named director of design for scenery at Scenery West. She was formerly with JKI Design and Development.

John Osborn has been named director of brand management for GES Exposition Services. He was formerly with ConAgra Frozen Foods.
