Wood coming back.

My name is Eric Wood and I am a former national champion ATV racer from the late 1980s and early 90s. I am looking at getting back into racing and was wondering where all the TT tracks have gone? I am not really looking into motocross tracks as I am 35 years old. I am currently rebuilding my

LCS Racing TRX250R, hoping that it will do OK against all the new four-strokes. My first big race will be the Tulsa Shootout. Then in 2007 I will be racing a limited TT schedule. I really need info on TT tracks in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana or Arkansas. I have been out of the racing circuit for almost 15 years and really don't have the slightest idea of any decent tracks for TT racing since the famous Boyd Raceway closed down. If you could send me any info that would be great! I have enclosed pics of me on my 250R and my LT 500R Quadzilla. Hope you respect pics from us guys that made quad racing what it is today.

First off, Eric, welcome back! Second, you can still call it TT racing, because we still do, but the official name is now Extreme Dirt Track racing. Third, we do know of a few EDT racing venues. There is the Bullet Speedway in Brashear, Texas, and another one called Twin Creeks Raceway in Greenbrier, Ark. Also, the Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Ky., should be close enough to you. If you're making a limited comeback in 2007, you have to race the king of all "TT" tracks, the Fischer's place at Pine Lake in Ashtabula, Ohio. Of course, a former champ probably knows about that one, huh?

If you have any other questions you could speak to Daryl Rath at Rath Racing as he is knowledgable when it comes to EDT racing. Also, his wife, Jennifer, is the EDT promotions and marketing coordinator.

Best of luck in Tulsa and next year.--Editor
