To the Editor:

I enjoyed your article on remote deposit capture [March 2006]. It was very well written and made great points.

I regret that Goldleaf Technologies was not mentioned in the article as we are the largest and most mature vendor performing this service on a thin-client

basis, with more banks than any of the other vendors mentioned in your article. Goldleaf has over 100 banks utilizing this service and is selling more daily. We were the first vendor to develop a thin-client version of remote deposit and deployed it over a year ago. The core processors you mentioned are just now realizing they need to develop products for the small business market when they all focused on a thick-client solution. Also, First Financial Bank, whom you quote in the article several times, uses Goldleaf for its remote deposit vendor, not Jack Henry.

Anything you can do to correct these facts would be appreciated. We think it is crucial for banks to marry remote capture and ACH for the future, which is a solution we are promoting now.

Goldleaf Technologies

We regret the error regarding First Financial Bunk. Jack Henry is the bank's core processing vendor.--Ed.
