EES Joins HDR Network

Omaha, Neb.— Washington-based consulting and engineering firm Economic and Engineering Services Inc. is joining HDR Inc., a national architecture-engineering-consulting firm based in Omaha. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Going forward, EES will conduct business as HDR/EES.

EES's

expertise in helping public clients finance and manage water system assets will mesh particularly well with HDR's Top 10 national water program, said George A. Little, president of HDR.

"HDR is highly esteemed in the water industry, and EES is proud to become part of that tradition," said EES president Wade E. Hatthorn, Ph.D., P.E. "We're looking forward to the expanded services and greater reach we can offer our clients, and the career opportunities for our employees. We also feel that our cultures are a good fit."

EES employs 70 professionals in five primary Pacific Northwest offices: Bellevue, Olympia, Mount Vernon, and Tri-Cities, Wash.; and Portland. HDR opened its first Pacific Northwest office in Seattle in 1975 and now employs more than 350 people in Bellevue, East Wenatchee, Pasco, Port Orchard, Olympia, and Spokane, Wash.; Portland; Boise; Missoula, Mont.; and Anchorage.
