Geologists at Montreal-based Semafo have discovered a new and "significant auriferous structure" on the company's 75%-owned Mana gold property in Burkina Faso. The Wona discovery is within Birimian greenstones, in a similar geological setting to the company's Nyafe gold prospect, located 7 km to the south. Trenching was carried out after a soil geochemical survey produced an anomaly, and recent reverse-circulation drilling intersected the following better results:
