Developing Emotional Intelligence: Evaluating Your Listening Skills

 It's easy to think that you're a good listener when in fact you may be not so great. That's because lots of people get listening and responding mixed up.

There aren't a lot of good listening skill evaluations on line. But I did find this one from the Advanced Leadership Group that was helpful. The results weren't quite as customized as I had hoped, but the act of taking the quiz made me aware of some of my own patterns. And the tips at the end are quite helpful.

A better test is provided here by Psychology Today. Be forewarned, however: This test has more than 50 questions and takes at least 15 minutes.
