There are many benefits to having an eBay Store, including
discounts on fees and services. In order to take advantage of these benefits, sellers pay a subscription fee. In addition to the subscription fee, there are insertion fees, final value fees, as well as fees for optional upgrades. The first subscription level is the Basic Store, which offers five catalog pages and the ability to send 100 email newsletters a month to customers. For $15.95 a month, a Basic Store is an inexpensive way for beginning sellers to get online.
At $49.95 a month, the Featured Store includes 10 catalog pages, the ability to send 1,000 email newsletters per month, and access to a number of sales reports.
The Anchor Store is the highest subscription level. For $499.95 a month you get more catalog pages, more newsletter capacity, and 24-hour customer support.
Featured and Anchor Store owners are also given a quarterly allotment of "promotional dollars" to spend on eBay Keywords advertising. The Keywords program brings more buyers to your listings by matching keywords to search terms on eBay. Bidders will see your banner and text ad when they search for a keyword you selected. For example, if you sell Nikon cameras, you can purchase "cameras" as a keyword so that any time a buyer searches for "cameras," your advertisement will appear in the search results.
But one of the biggest benefits of being a Store owner is being able to keep your listings up longer — for less. Store Inventory listings are fixed-price listings that only appear within your eBay Store and Store search pages — not within eBay’s main listings search.
Story Inventory insertion fees start at $0.02 for 30 day listings and max out at $0.08 for 120 day listings. The insertion fee covers any quantity of items with a single listing, whether you list one or 1,000 of the same item. Final value fees (FVF) are still assessed when you sell an item, and are based on the item's final sale price. But considering that the minimum insertion fee for non-Store sellers is $0.30, medium- and high-volume sellers can save a substantial amount by opening a Store.
