Sykes opens call center in El Salvador.
John Sykes, chairman and CEO of Sykes Enterprises, Inc., and Carlos Quintanilla Schmidt, president of PROESA, recently announced the establishment of the first American call center that will operate in EI Salvador, providing employment to bilingual Salvadorans. The amount of the investment ranges between $6 and $8 million U.S. according to Sykes, who stated that in the initial phase of operations the company would hire 400 bilingual operators. Sykes operates 42 customer support centers with operations throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa.
