Yesterday I had the great pleasure to present on building alliances to grow business with two great colleagues of mine, Amy Hedin of Human Point and Jeanette Nyden of JNyden & Company. I'll be writing more about this later, but for now what was so great was that we were an alliance ourselves - coming together each as a speaker on a specific aspect of building alliances. Amy spoke about the people aspect, I spoke about the process of building alliances for revenue building, and Jeanette is an attorney so she spoke from a legal perspective.
Together it was a grand slam - we set up the session so that there was networking time between presentations, and our crowd was a group of very smart, interesting people.
The venue wasn't too shabby, either - the 76th floor of the Columbia Tower in downtown Seattle in the private and wonderful Columbia Tower Club.
It does go to show the power of bringing three interesting points together rather than speaking individually on a single aspect of a topic.
