Social Networking for Salespeople: Salesconx Offers a New Approach for Securing Sales Leads and Warm Prospects

Wednesday, October 24 2007

Here's an interesting resource I just discovered for salespeople looking to tap in to the social networking model and get in front of more qualified and warmer decision makers - without the cold call.

The challenge for many salespeople is finding out who those key people are to build relationships with.  While the majority of social networking sites allow people to make connections, they  do not provide direct opportunities to make a sale.  According to Salesconx they've developed a service that does.

Salesconx  is a first-of-its-kind Internet marketplace where members are introduced to prospective customers by an individual who has already earned the trust of that customer.  Instead of cold-calling or spending hours doing research, a salesperson can be introduced directly to the person who makes influential purchasing decision.

For example, a salt salesman wishes to contact snowplowing businesses.  A tire saleswoman has a relationship with such a business. The salt man requests that the tire saleswoman introduce him to that snowy contact.  Once the introduction is agreed upon, the salt salesman pays a fee to the tire salesman and receives the proper contact.
