With roots that date back to 1883, Jensen Distribution Services in Spokane, Wash., knows all about adapting to change. Chairman Mike Jensen is the fourth generation of his family to run the business, which services more than 1,000 customers in 10 western states.

Jensen stocks 47,000 SKUs in its distribution center, which underwent an expansion that was completed in April 2004. The addition of a 130,000-square-foot building brings total capacity to 422,000 square feet of high cube, productive space.
