The Evergreen Gardens, a nursery, floral and bridal shop at 9407 Evergreen Way has been sold to new owners.

Departing owner, Nina Showalter Showalter purchased Evergreen Gardens five years ago from a partnership of employees who, in turn, had bought from the prior owner. Altogether, Evergreen Gardens has been in operation for 24 years.

Showalter's unique combination of selling both garden plants and wedding dresses in the same space was the result of her eclectic motives. She already had an operating bridal business, and bought the nursery for her son, Aaron
