GARDENA, Cal. - Tabletops Unlimited has moved production of its upscale, porcelain enamel-onsteel cookware out of Taiwan, increasing the cookware's gauge, decreasing manufacturing costs but maintaining its pricing.
The company would not divulge the country in which cookware is now made. Lines resulting from the production change are Kensington Garden, a brass-handled line with a fruit design, and Elegante, a white line with 24-karat gold-plated handles. Suggested retail price for Kensington Garden is up to $160 per 11-piece set. Elegante is $250 for an 11-piece set.
