Sep. 15--Melanie Duncan said she listened to what she calls her maternal instinct Sunday afternoon when she passed by a pallet full of plywood at Montgomery's Home Depot.

"I was there picking up some wallpaper and for some reason I ended up at the lumber part of the store and before I knew it, I was calling my husband to bring his truck to pick up some plywood," said Duncan, who spent two hours Tuesday evening boarding up windows at her home off Ray Thorington Road in east Montgomery. "We just built this house and I don't want to have
