Berkeley, Calif.-Based Coffee Chain to Open Store in Denver.

Oct. 29--Berkeley, Calif.-born specialty coffee chain Peet's will open its first Denver store on Monday -- testament to the strength of Colorado's java savvy.

Located near East Second Avenue and Clayton Street, Peet's is the eighth coffeehouse in the Cherry Creek North neighborhood, cozied in among two Starbucks, a Peaberry and several independent shops.

But just as the others claimed before it, Peet's boasts a better roast, and a fresher and more full-bodied cup of coff
