Even to the casual observer, Kmart's video merchandising is a little behind that of sellers like Best Buy, or even other discounters like Wal-Mart. At one Southern California Big K location last week, DVD and VHS product was sparsely stocked, disorganized and untended, though a well placed four-sided permanent merchandiser with racks labeled "Hot Hits" sat just outside the electronics section, boasting a scattered offering of many family and catalog titles in both formats.
