In an exciting marriage of the minds, Store of Knowledge, the retailer specializing in products that entertain your brain, this week introduces new DK Booktiques, offering the most comprehensive in-store selection
All 91 Store of Knowledge locations across the country will feature the new DK Booktiques, which for the first time bring together DK Publishing's vast assortment of award-winning books, videos and software in a dedicated store section.
"This `store-within-a-store' concept gives children and adults an exciting, one-stop source for DK's unique brand of reference works that bring subjects to life in amazing visual detail," said James Berk, Store of Knowledge chairman, president and CEO. "Whether you're planning a trip to London, Paris or Rome or preparing a report on volcanoes, baseball or ancient Egypt, there's a DK book, video or CD-ROM to engage and inform you."
The DK Booktiques will allow shoppers to browse through 300 individual titles stocked in a specially designed 100 linear-foot display. An adjacent computer terminal will let shoppers go online to order more than 1,000 additional titles as well as other products from www.storeofknowledge.com.
Well-known works from DK Publishing's more than 2,400 title catalog include the best-selling Dorling Kindersley Children's Illustrated Encyclopedia and the award-winning Stephen Biesty Incredible Cross-Sections books. DK also created the Eyewitness series, which revolutionized children's reference books and covers topics ranging from animals, money and music to religion, sports and science.
