Main Street Odessa, Texas, to Mark 13th Anniversary with Celebration.

May 2--On Thursday, Main Street Odessa will host the first public celebration of its 13-year effort to revitalize the downtown district.

There will be much to celebrate, says Nancy Wells, Main Street executive director.

The physical and financial scars left by the oil busts of the 1980s and late 1990s have begun to fade. Since that time, numerous new and existing businesses have bought or leased long-vacant storefronts.
