Small business owners aren't always up on the latest and greatest.  Taking blogging for instance.  By now, most of you have heard of blogging.  And some small businesses have gotten into the blogging game.  As the world becomes increasingly online, you won't be maximizing your business opportunities if you don't have a presence on web 2.0.

Blogging can help small business in a number of ways.  But the biggest opportunity is that it allows a continual way to build the relationship with your customers (which also has the added benefit of allowing your customers to sound off about their experiences with your business).

Downloadsquad.com posted Business Blogging Bungles, a top 10 list of things NOT to do when blogging.  The list is comprehensive and I even learned a couple new things.

THE REAL WORLD RETAILING TAKEAWAY
Blogging takes commitment.

You need to post a minimum of three times a week in order to be legit.   And that's tough.  Finding inspiration for a blog post can be fleeting.  But over time, you'll find websites and other resources that can provide the impetus for writing.

Just make sure that if you're going to take on the initiative to blog, that you pay attention to the above referenced list of Blogging "Don'ts" in order to maximize your ROB (return on blogging).
