Fashion Moves to Charlotte

Shop Intermix, and you'll find designer duds by Stella McCartney and Diane von Furstenberg, to name but two. You'll also find jeans in the, gulp, $300 range.

In Charlotte, the new store -- all 2,500 square feet of it -- just opened at Southpark mall near Nordstrom. Three more new stores -- in East Hampton, Orlando and Chicago -- will bring the Intermix total to 24 shops. That's small by big box standards, but pretty big for a boutique that opened in New York 14 years ago.

Now, about those $300 jeans. Nice price if you can get.
