Shaw's VOD service gives customers the ability to view a program for a period of up to 24 hours with full DVD-like functionality, including pause, rewind and fast forward features.

"Twentieth Century Fox is very pleased to be one of the first major Hollywood studios to partner with Shaw on this new and exciting home entertainment service. Shaw's leadership position in the Canadian market gives us an excellent opportunity to develop this new distribution venue for our current feature films and extensive library product. We are also pleased with Shaw's progressive position regarding copy protection for this distribution window," said Jamie McCabe Senior Vice President of Worldwide Pay-Per-View and Video on Demand, Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation.

"Fox's impressive line-up of current feature films and extensive library of motion pictures and other content is a valuable addition to our VOD product offering" said Michael D'Avella, Senior Vice President of Planning, Shaw Communications Inc. "Our digital and high-speed customers will now be able to expand their viewing options with an outstanding selection of titles from one of Hollywood's truly major studios."

Fox will supply Shaw with an impressive lineup of current releases, including X2: X-MEN UNITED, starring Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman, ANTWONE FISHER, starring Denzel Washington and Derek Luke, JUST MARRIED, starring Ashton Kutcher and Brittany Murphy, PHONE BOOTH, starring Colin Farrell and Kiefer Sutherland, and DAREDEVIL, starring Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, as well as a variety of hit movies such as DIE HARD, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, SPEED, PATTON and BIG from its extensive film library.
