"There is no higher praise than the respect of one's peers," declares FORTUNE Magazine. In its March 6 issue, the magazine published a ranking of America's Most Admired Companies, as selected by others in the same industry. For the stores category, Nordstrom ranked No. 1 as the most admired company in the general merchandisers category; Home Depot ranked No. 1 as a specialty retailer; Walgreen ranked No. 1 as a food or drug store; and Starbucks ranked No. 1 as a food services retailer.
